Ok I'm not racist I have friends of all colors and backgrounds but I do tend to make racial jokes because my male friends find them hilarious and I get them laughing their asses off at my jokes... soo is it ok to make these jokes around women if they know I'm not racist?

Question is: Why are you making racist jokes if you're not a racist? Even people making racist jokes about their own race are denigrating their own heritage... it's nasty enough when you're stereotyping someone else's racial heritage, because you're only fostering negative images that some ignorant people really believe. But it's a tragedy when someone feels they they have to put their own people down before someone else does it, just to be 'cool'.

Some women don't have that great of a sense of humor, it depends on what type of female you're dealing with.
i dont find them funny. my boyfriend does the same thing. i find them offensive and rude. but he doesnt he finds them comical. i just ignore it. i dont get upset or whatever but im always just like ugh... lol ya i think its ok if they know you are not racist.
1--having a black friend doesn't make you exempt from being a racist. neither does dating a person of a certain color. being racist means youo think one race is inferior or superior to another. i know lots of black guys who date out of their race and are super racist. heck i know a guy married to someone not of his race and he HATES that race.
2--i think you making racial jokes just to impress your male friends makes you a b*tch. i know that is vulgar language, but you're used to it with your racist jokes.
3--i find racist jokes disgusting. i never laugh at them at any races dispense. if a guy i like makes a joke like that, it is a turn off. i know i can't take him anywhere because of that, and i just don't want to be in his company
4--you may not be a racist, but telling racist jokes ISN'T a smart way of convincing someone you're racially tolerant.
Women are more emotional, analytical and serious. I wouldn't risk saying the wrong thing because it can be taken out of context.
Someone cracked a joke at work earlier this year and it was rude and it really hurt. Although it wasn't intended to be offensive, I took it to heart and have avoided them since.
